St. Procopius Basilica

St. Procopius Basilica (Bazilika svatého Prokopa) is located on the north bank of the Jihlava river. St. Procopius Basilica is situated on a hill overlooking the Jewish Quarter. It was built in the early 13th century, and originally, it was a part of a Benedictine monastery that was replaced in the 16th century by a palace to which it is connected. St. Procopius Basilica is one of the first examples of the influence of Western architecture in Central Europe. The basilica is an interesting fusion of the Romanesque and Gothic styles.
