The Church of San Bartolomé, in Calle Prim, 29, dates back to the 15th century, but today is characterized by a baroque style.
The church is located in the historic center of the city, very close to the Alcázar de Abajo or Puerta de Sevilla. Of particular note is the major altarpiece from the first third of the 18th century, consisting of a predella and a body divided into three sections and active.
There is an important collection of paintings distributed on the walls of the church and sacristy. One of the most outstanding is the one representing Saint Catherine of Alexandria, located in the presbytery.
The Chapel of Jesus Nazarene has three altarpieces. In the main one we find the holder of the Brotherhood of Penance, a sculpture made by Francisco de Ocampo in 1607.
