Considered one of the best in the world, it was created with the aim of educating, disseminating and interacting with wine as a civilizing element. And all this is done through experience, sensitivity, respect and innovation.
The Museum occupies an area of 4,000 m2 that includes 5 permanent exhibition halls, a temporary exhibition hall and, outside, the Bacchus Garden, a collection of vines with more than 220 varieties from around the world.
This museum, which belongs to the Vivanco Foundation, houses the cultural collection of the Riojan winemaking family, Vivanco. Archaeology, sculpture, painting, etc. give us a universal vision of the importance that wine has had in all cultures throughout history.
A specialised library, a tasting room, two restaurants, a conference room and an enotienda complement the services of this great Museum of Wine Culture.
