This ancient 17th century stone fortress sits on top of a hill overlooking the city. It has one of the best views of Gothenburg.When Skansen Kronan was finished it had 23 canons and was ready for battle, but was never attacked by enemies. During the 19th century it turned into a prison and later on an emergency residency. During the 20th century it was a military museum.
Inside, the unique hall of Skansen Kronan can be used for weddings, parties, conferences and more, all while enjoying a panorama view of the city.
