Norway is the world’s largest exporter of farmed salmon. Every second, Norway exports 38 kg of salmon to the rest of the world, creating jobs all along the coast. In close collaboration with the NTNU University Museum and INAQ, Expology has created an interactive visitor center that explores the challenges and opportunities of this rapidly growing industry.The exhibit has an educational focus and encourages visitors to participate at various levels. Whether they prefer to explore at their own pace or participate in a game that challenges them to become salmon farmers for a year, visitors delve into topics such as sustainability, common myths, wild vs. farmed fish, and the Norwegian coast.Expology served as the exhibition’s producer: creating the concept, graphic and physical design, as well as contributing content and interactive installations.
