Scotty’s Castle is a two-story Spanish mission and colonial revival style mansion located in the Grapevine Mountains in the northern part of Death Valley in Death Valley National Park, California. It is also referred to as the Death Valley Ranch.
Built in 1922 at the behest of millionaire Albert Mussey Johnson, Scotty’s Castle is named after the owner’s best friend.
When it’s open, you can take part in guided tours given by park rangers, who take visitors through the castle and its underground tunnels.
