Liberty building in Seui
Part of the museum collection is located in an Art Nouveau style building, dating back to the early twentieth century, built by the then town doctor Dr. Raimondo Loi.
The building, located in the very central Via Roma, is, with its vaults and frescoed walls, a beautiful testimony of a stately home of the time. Before hosting the museum, it was the headquarters of the Monteponi Mining Society and then, since the 1930s, of the Municipality.
The museum is structured in four thematic areas: one part houses the archaeological section that displays the testimonies of the past that, from the Nuragic age, have come down to us. Among the objects are an hourglass millstone and a collection of coins from the Punic to the Savoy period.
