he town stretches mainly along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, into which it slopes gently, between Lago and San Marco, on the slopes of Sant’Angelo Hill, where Castellabate lies. Its territory falls completely within the perimeter of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park and is home to the Castellabate Marine Reserve established in 2009: the Santa Maria di Castellabate Marine Protected Area.
