Sant’Isidoro is an ideal place for those who prefer the sandy coasts with shallow water.
Surrounded by a small town and by the touristic village, the amazing bay of Sant’Isidoro develops along the coast of Nardò, which boasts 4 Sails (a flag awarded to the most beautiful beaches) of Legambiente (Italian environment protection association).
Inserted in the marine protected area of Porto Cesareo, the rocky shore is replaced by the sandy beaches of a bay protected from the winds also thanks to a small island, that can be reached swimming.
The shallow water is perfect for the children’s games, while the sea, thanks to water springs which come out of the karst underground, is always transparent.
The tower of Sant’Isidoro, dating back to the 16th century, overlooks Torre Squillace, a small seaside village where, a few steps away from the road, there is a small white-sand beach, nestled in the cliffs.
