Sale San Giovanni is first and foremost the little Provence of Piedmont: its lavender fields, in full bloom until the end of July, perfume the air and lift the breath, and are an explosion of sky blue and blue. You can reach them by car, but also on foot, following three scenic routes of varying difficulty and duration. A series of events planned for the next few weeks of the summer revolve around lavender, but also around medicinal plants: not only will there be guided tours by agricultural technicians and herbalists, but at the beginning of July you can also watch and take part in the first cutting of the lavender, when the town invites travellers to try the experience of being farmers, sickle in hand. Another interesting initiative dedicated to the biodiversity of the territory includes yoga sessions at sunset, near the lavender fields.
