In the mountainous region of Barbagia, on the flanks of the Gennargentu Massif, Sa Stiddiosa takes its name from "is stiddius", the water that drips from the rock face and falls into the pool below ("is stiddius" actually means "dripping wall"). Because the one between Gadoni and Seulo is not just any waterfall. It is a real water-soaked wall, which falls overhanging a natural emerald green swimming pool.
Created by the river Flumendosa, Sa Stiddiosa is a bit of paradise and a bit of magic. Those who arrive there to immerse themselves in its waters have the illusion of being in the heart of the Amazonian forest.
