A unique skyscraper is being built in Dubai: the Rotating Tower or Dynamic Tower. Each of the 80 floors of the building, 420 meters high, will rotate 360 degrees and from inside you will have a different view at different times of day. Every minute each apartment will move 6 meters making a complete turn in 180 minutes.
It will be built with ecological materials and will run on solar and wind power. The innovative idea is by a firm of Italian architects headed by David Fisher.
Dynamic use of space and energy efficiency are the two guiding principles of the project. Thanks to a mechanism that allows each floor to rotate independently, at any time you can choose a different view.
The modules that will be used to build the apartments will be constructed in the Tower Industries Italia plant in Altamura, Puglia. "The movements" explained Fisher "will have a very slow speed, so as not to be annoying for the tenants of the tower".
