The church of Santa Maria Maddalena is one of the churches of Rome, in the Colonna district, overlooking the square of the same name. It represents one of the few and most beautiful examples of Rococo art in Rome. In 1586 the church, built on a 14th century chapel already owned by the Archconfraternity of the Gonfalone, was entrusted to Camillo de Lellis who made it the headquarters of the Camillian order.
