The Altar of the Fatherland is a monument of grandeur and significance, more properly called the National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II or (Mole del) Vittoriano, impresses the visitor thanks to its charm of great impact. Raised between 1885 and 1935, but inaugurated as early as 1911 on the occasion of a series of events linked to the International Exhibition in Turin, it consists of a sublime modern forum celebrating the Risorgimento on three levels, signed by architects Ettore Ferrari, Pio Piacentini and Giuseppe Sacconi.
