Rionero Sannitico: Church of San Bartolomeo Apostle

The church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle was built in 1557. The shape of this parish is a Latin cross, with three naves separated by two rows of columns. Inside you can admire: the statue of the Creator; the altar of St. Bartholomew the Apostle; the marble balustrade; the inlaid wooden choir and two tombstones. It collapsed after the earthquake of 1805 and was rebuilt in 1927 at the expense of American emigrants.
