The Regional Archaeological Museum of Gela contains about 4200 finds chronologically distributed from prehistoric to medieval times.
The museum is divided into two floors. The collections relating to Greek Gela are very extensive with materials from the acropolis, the area of Capo Soprano, the emporium of Bosco Littorio and the necropolis. They are to be highlighted:
– A beautiful and intact Corinthian helmet
– The beautiful and extensive collections of Greek ceramics with black and red figures
– The remains of the cargo of the "wreck of Gela", a Greek merchant ship sunk in front of the city port
– Architectural details coming from city temples and votive arule from Bosco Littorio emporium
– The extensive numismatic collection with coins from the various Greek colonies
