Something to see in Reggio Emilia, dear Italians, is undoubtedly the Museum of the Tricolour, set up inside the Town Hall. On three levels, it exhibits with great care the documents and memorabilia concerning the history of our national flag, with the various forms it took over time: you will be amazed by the particularity of the works that are part of the project "Ninety artists for a flag". The museum is attached to the Sala del Tricolore, also free of charge. Patriotic travelers, visit this room where on January 7, 1797 the representatives of the free cities of Reggio, Modena, Bologna and Ferrara met to proclaim the Cispadane Republic, choosing the flag in the colors green-white-red, then became the national flag in 1848! These spaces are part of the Civic Museums of Reggio Emilia: discover them all and fall in love with this city of great culture and freedom.
