In the town of Borgloon in Belgium you can see one of the most special churches in the world. It looks like an optical illusion of a traditional parish church, but it’s a see-through piece of art called Reading Between the Lines. This remarkable church was designed by Gijs Van Vaerenbergh.

Along a bike path in the town of Borgloon he built a construction out of 30 tonnes of steel and 2000 columns, back in 2011. It’s built on a concrete foundation. It was named Reading Between the Lines. The reason for this is simple: it’s wonderful to see the light fall between the columns of the building. It’s especially impressive at sunset.
