Rameshwaram temple was built in the Dravidian architectural style, this 12th century temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple reportedly has the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India and, possibly, even the world. Another interesting tid-bit about the corridor is that the rock is said to have been brought in from other parts of Tamil Nadu across the sea. The 4,000-odd pillars that line the corridor, when viewed from one end, give the feeling as if they are reflected through a series of mirrors.
