Praha : "Parable with skull" – Secret World

The Czech capital is also home to an array of sculptures that cover a range of subjects and artistic styles. One of them is "Parable With Skull.it is a bronze sculpture of a beggar weighed down by a large skull. Official name of this statue is “Parable with Skull” (Podobenství s Lebkou), however people prefer to call it other way 🙂 “Parable with Skull” is based on one of Kafka’s characters—the “beggar, who, with the death rattle already in his throat, insists on dying on the doorstep” from The Bucket Rider. The back side of the statue is not less intrigue that the front.
