The Museum Pole of Conversano includes the Picture Gallery of the Aragonese Castle, where you can also admire the permanent exhibition of historical clothes "Wedding at the Castle" and the archaeological section set up in the rooms around the Cloister of San Benedetto.
The artistic selection unfolds among the representative rooms of the Castle and, among others, includes the large canvases of "La Gerusalemme Liberata" by the Neapolitan Paolo Domenico Finoglio, considered the most extensive cycle of the seventeenth century Italian non-religious topic. Temporary exhibitions and conferences are also held in the rooms on the second floor.
In the archaeological section you can admire finds from Prehistory to the Roman age, including Paleolithic flints and lithic instruments from the caves of Conversano and Monopoli.
