Fountains, Squares and Bridges

Piazza Cavour

One of the two main squares of Rimini, shaped during the Middle Ages and being the political and commercial center of the city. Its central part is occupied by the stone fountain Pigna, and next to it stands a statue of Pope Paul V. Around the square there are medium-sized palaces belonging to the most important families living in the city at that time. The oldest of them is Palazzo dell’Arengo from the early 13th century. You can also see the baroque building of the former fish market with an impressive facade. There are restaurants and bars in the tenements and palaces surrounding the square.
