Parc des Buttes Chaumont is a 30 minute walk from Parc de la Villette. This park was built 150 years ago, at the time of the l’Exposition universelle and it was and old quarry. The most famous feature of the park is the Temple de la Sibylle, perched at the top of a cliff fifty metres above the waters of the artificial lake. You can go up there and see sights of the whole northeast part of Paris, including Montmartre and the Basilique of Sacré Coeur.
