Almost parallel to Gria Vathra is the path that leads to some of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, those of Parádeisos.
About 500m after Kafeneio Ta Therma, a forest path (100m) leads to a series of pools and waterfalls among the rocks; the highest one makes a 30m drop. It’s a landscape reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings, with 600-year-old moss-covered plane trees emerging from the mist onto a carpet of ferns and brackish boulders. The icy waters of the pools are ideal for a dip.
