Ostuni – The White City
Located in the province of Brindisi, Ostuni has been nicknamed the White City because of its typical low houses of limestone rocks that populate the narrow streets of its center. While the narrow streets and numerous staircases of the old town are shrouded in ancient historical charm, the many small shops and clubs enliven the nightlife and summers of Ostuni. Near its countryside there is a varied selection of Masserie, ancient farmhouses typical of Southern Italy. Many farms were abandoned in the late 19th century, but thanks to restoration projects, many of them have been recovered and transformed into splendid hotels.
