Inside an ancient baroque convent, located in Ortigia, from 2014 there is the Papyrus Museum "Corrado Basile" opened in reality since 1989 and managed by the International Papyrus Institute. The museum deals with the study, conservation and dissemination of cultural evidence related to this plant, a real container of knowledge and, despite its small size, is able to contain material of great scientific and cultural interest. Inside it it is possible to know everything that militates around the fantastic world of papyrus, discovering details about its production, conservation and restoration without forgetting the didactic laboratory and the collection of ancient papyri.
