In the heart of New Zealand, west of Wellington, Marlborough is the state’s largest wine region, internationally synonymous with Sauvignon Blanc, but it is above all the charm of Marlborough Sounds, an unspoilt paradise with multiple interpretations and a thousand legendary sounds, that attracts the traveler in search of a holiday of freedom.
Unlike many other places in New Zealanda, Marlborough Sounds are practically inaccessible with motor vehicles. The Marlborough Sounds area is an area of submerged valleys that give rise to a network of waterways and fjords between forests and virgin forests which are linked to several Maori legends because of the natural sounds that arise. In theory you can only go there by sea. This means that you can choose between using the services of a local tourist company, using the postal boat or going there with your own means (canoeing, kayaking…) and throw yourself – literally – in the adventure and discovery of this incredible universe.
