The Museum of Theatre Masks and Puppets, housed in a room of Palazzo Borghese in Mentana, collects, the only one of its kind in Italy, in addition to hundreds of masks made by the master Giancarlo Santelli with various materials and in particular with leather created for the most important performances of the Greek and Roman Theatre and the Commedia dell’Arte, also a real puppet theatre where the master himself tries his hand at representations taken from the highest tradition of this kind of theatre. The stories and the atmosphere that we breathe in this magical place lead us to places that we feel belong deeply to our spirit: crying or laughing at the "little things" as Garcia Lorca would say.
