Museum of the Ancient Mint of Lucca
The Casermetta San Donato on the city walls, houses the museum, the library, the laboratory, a historic workshop with period machinery and the Luigi Giorgi art fund, a precious reality that, as its main objective, the spread of local history and culture through the enhancement of numismatics, being able to take advantage of the rich heritage consisting of coins, medals and documents that Lucca still retains today by virtue of its rich past history.
