Mount Cervati (in the municipality of Sanza) is the highest mountain in Campania with its 1899 meters. The geological nature of the massif shows the characteristic morphology of a karstic environment, with swallow-holes, fresh springs and temporary watercourses. The massif shows its overhanging walls, engraved by deep gullies and numerous towers and spires, spectacular and characteristic, just from the side of Piaggine, with at the foot of the mixed woods and beech forests that open from time to time in clearings rich in vegetation and very green (or white in winter). From the summit you can see the Vallo di Diano and the massif of Mount Motola (1700 m), or Mount Sacro and the sea. On the top of Cervati there are a chapel and a cave dedicated to the Madonna della Neve.
