Mizen Head is a destination not to be missed if you’re going down the Wild Atlantic Way. It is a spectacular cliff stretching into the Atlantic Ocean and is located on a small headland west of Cork.
Less famous and less crowded than the Cliffs of Moher, Mizen Head has no less charm or history. In fact, being one of the westernmost points in Europe, Guglielmo Marconi chose it as the place to build his radio signal tower to send the first transatlantic telegraphic messages.
