When we talk about canals in Milan, our imagination immediately goes to the nightlife of the clubs that crowd the banks of the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, the undisputed symbol of Milanese nightlife. Few visitors, on the other hand, visit the other large canal, the Martesana, which is instead a reference point for citizens who love walking in the open air. You too can follow its banks, on foot or by bike, starting from the Giardino Cassina de Pomm behind the Central Station, passing through the park of Villa Finzi and the historic Zelig restaurant, and then take a break at the Cascina Martesana. If you are particularly fit, you can reach Trezzo sull’Adda, at the end of a 38 km route.
