The Treasures of the Ca’ Granda, an exhibition itinerary commissioned by the Ca’ Granda Policlinico Foundation to make its artistic wonders known and celebrate the Feast of Forgiveness, are housed in Via Francesco Sforza at the headquarters of the administrative offices and the Historical Archives of the Policlinico di Milano. The five permanent rooms display 23 portraits of benefactors (from the 17th to the 20th century) by painters of the calibre of Giovanni Segantini, Francesco Hayez, Mosè Bianchi, Carlo Carrà, Giuseppe Molteni, Mario Sironi, Emilio Longoni, Pitocchetto and Filippo Abbiati. To complete the collection: five sculptures, including those that immortalize the founder of the complex Duke Francesco Sforza and St. Carlo Borromeo, one of the first great benefactors of the Ca’ Granda; the portraits of the doctors of the Ospedale Maggiore and the health collections (a collection of medical instruments that have made the history of Medicine).
