The Mediamuseum, National Museum of Cinema and Audiovisual, was founded in Pescara in 1995 from a celebratory occasion, the centenary of the birth of cinema. The availability of new spaces has allowed the expansion of the exhibition section in the fields of cinema, theatre, television. The Mediamuseum, a multimedia place of great charm, able to link the past and the present with the future of the audiovisual image, is not proposed to the visitor simply as a collection of memorabilia but as a pulsating center of activity, which hosts daily film workshops, theater courses and meetings on the performing arts.
