Archaeological and Art Museum of the Maremma is located in Piazza Baccarini, inside a substantial nucleus of Etruscan cinerary urns, numerous Etruscan objects and artifacts from the largest archaeological site in the area, or the ancient city of Roselle, including: stele of warriors of the sixth century. AD, complex statuary, decorations of the Carolingian period, etc.. Ample space are also the findings from various sites of the Maremma including Vetulonia. Finally, the museum exhibits the collection of Canon Giovanni Cheli, founder of the Museum, including the bucchero bowl with graffito representing the Etruscan alphabet dated the sixth century BC and a small Mithraic statue of the third century BC.
