Museo delle Distillerie Mantovani offers visitors an exploratory, educational and didactic itinerary on the artisan production of liqueurs and distillates.
The route starts from traditions and legends related to a craft of ancient origin, passing through the processes of craft products.
In addition, the visitor is actively involved through the use of the senses to recognize, for example, the scent of the raw materials (herbs, spices, essential oils, fruits …) and to know how to evaluate the characteristics of the product.
The Museum develops three itineraries: technical, through the tools and instruments of the trade; didactic, through the compilation of the organoleptic cards calibrated for the different age groups; historical, through the reconstruction of the history of distillation, from the origins, passing through the rich Renaissance, up to the present day.
