Malta and Lampuki

Lampuki. Those who go to the island cannot but taste this specialty. It is a type of fish generally found around the waters of Malta. It is also called mahi-mahi and migrates through Maltese waters between the end of August and the end of December. A white, fleshy fish with a delicate taste to eat stewed or very often as a filling in "lampuki pie" pies. In both cases it is one of the most popular and traditional Maltese autumn dishes.
