This is the world’s first museum on the theme, created following a £50k crowdfunding campaign. The first (free) themed exhibition, which can be visited from 16 November 2019 to 16 February 2020, is entitled Muff Busters: Vagina Myths and How To Fight Them. In addition to the permanent exhibits, the museum has themed events ranging from literature and history to medicine and quizzes on the subject.
Although the Vagina Museum may make you smile, the intentions proposed in the museum’s website are the most serious and shareable, including: to learn about female anatomy in a scientific and fun way at the same time; to clear customs on a topic still perceived as taboo, inviting viewers to talk openly about the body and sexuality;
