One of over 70 waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Staubbach Falls towers over almost all of the others. At almost 300 meters, it is one of the highest free falling waterfalls on the continent. Because of the water’s sudden drop and the strong winds in the area, Staubbach Falls looks as if it is flying away with the wind. It is recommended to visit the falls at the start of summer, because that is when most of the snow melts, creating an even more powerful waterfall.
