In the north-west, a pebble escaped the hand of Cyclops (so says the legend). Geologists, on the other hand, claim that the islet detached from the mother island about three million years ago following a catastrophic earthquake. Uninhabited, if not by seagulls and other species of migratory birds, it preserves an automatic beacon as the only trace of man. It is an ideal destination for extraordinary diving and snorkeling experiences: the seabed is rich in colourful flora, yellow and pink corals, lobsters, groupers, grey sharks and hammerhead sharks. All you have to do is board one of the private boats that organize excursions to the island.
