Lake Svitiaz: Ukraine’s deepest lake

Lake Svitiaz is the biggest lake in the region and occupies an area of 28 square km. It is Ukraine’s deepest lake and is 190 ft at its deepest point. A part of this area has been protected as the Shatsky National Natural Park. Here forests, grasslands, marshes cover large parts of the land. Several species of migratory birds are common in the area.
