Among wild sceneries and ancient castles, a landscape is entirely shaped by water and dominated by the imposing dam: a paradise for water sports.
Lake Santa Giustina is a monument to the power of water, which for thousands of years has slowly carved out the picturesque canyons of the Noce torrent, much loved by canoeists, and which today, harnessed, produces electricity thanks to the imposing dam, the largest artificial reservoir in Trentino.
Visitors to the lake, and especially sportsmen, appreciate the alliance between the work of nature and the work of man: in addition to canoeing and kayaking inside the Santa Giustina gorges, among narrow passages and vertical walls, you can discover the Novella river park. This is a guided path 3.5 km long, equipped with walkways and suitable for walking in the woods, admiring hidden views and majestic scenery among the geological peculiarities of the place.
The lake is also a suitable destination for those who love to relax, especially in the south-west area, where a large and well-equipped green area – Plazze di Dermulo – has been set up to allow you to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the place.
