Loch Ness is located in the Scottish highlands, and is Scotland’s largest lake by volume: it has an area of 56.4 km2 and a depth of 230 metres. Perhaps it is this dimension that has given rise to the legend of a monster present in the lake: the first news of sighting dates back to 1933, and the various photos captured have never had scientific relevance. In 2014 on a map Apple seems to glimpse a large silhouette just below the surface of the water, 30 meters long: monster or wake of a boat?
