The Fusaro Lake is located in Bacoli was born because of an environmental mutation, precisely following the closure of a stretch of sea. Its importance more than touristic is historical: once the area was considered a hellish marsh, and still today you can find traces of these legends inside the Casina Vanvitelliana, which was built by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, one of the most important kings of Naples. Inside you can admire a chandelier, shells (symbol of the Bourbons), a round table, a fireplace and some portraits of famous people who have visited this place throughout history.
Lake Fusaro is also an excellent spot for those who practice fishing: mussels and fish products are present here in large quantities.
