Kursiu Nerija National Park

Kursiu Nerija National Park protects an amazing environment of dunes, pine forests and beaches. It also houses a curiosity almost unique in Europe: a lagoon bordered by the strip of land formed by the Neringa peninsula. Kuršių Nerija National Park is one of five national parks in Lithuania. It was founded in 1991 to protect the unique ecosystems of the Neringa Peninsula and Curi Lagoon . Kuršių Nerija National Park is protected by the State under the Lithuanian Protected Areas Act. It has been a member of the EUROPARC Federation since 1997. The park has category II in the IUCN classification. National Park Neringa Peninsula (Lithuania).
