The Munich Art Hall is a cultural institution that, unlike museums, does not have its own collection of works of art, but presents three to four temporary exhibitions every year. It receives around 300,000 visitors annually, making it one of the most visited exhibition halls in Germany. The spectrum ranges from prehistory and early history to the present day. Border art areas, protohistoric and non-European as well as interdisciplinary topics are open to visitors.

Since the opening of the hall in 1985, over 100 exhibitions have been held here.
