Jhargram is a place very close to Midnapore it is the paradise of nature lovers with bountiful forests endowed with rich flora and fauna. Its famous for the Jhargram Raj Palace or Rajbari, it is a palace which was turned into a tourist accommodation. This palace has a very impressive opulent Italianate architecture in 1931, this palace was designed by the Calcutta trust during the reign of Raja Bahadur.The village has an average elevation of 81 metres (265 feet). The weather, like much of Bengal, is extremely humid and tropical. Temperatures can reach as high as 46 °C in the hot and dry months of May and June but can plummet to 4 °C in the chilly nights of December and January.
