Carisj Foundation Museum
The collection of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi is made up of mostly pictorial works that vary by historical period and school, found over time through donations and past or recent purchases.
On the first floor of the building there are works of ancient art, from the 16th to the 18th century, among which those of: Carlo Cignani, Francesco Da Ponte, Raffaellino Del Colle, Guercino and Giorgio Vasari.
In the same room are temporarily exposed works from the territorial area restored by the Foundation thanks to the continuous investments in heritage conservation activities. On the ground floor are exposed works of contemporary art. The collection brings together works by artists mainly from Jesi and the Marche; among the main ones are Eugenio Azzocchi, Ezio Bartocci, Raul Batocco, Edmondo Giuliani and Orfeo Tamburi.
Palazzo Bisaccioni is unique in its kind as inside there is the Caveau, built in the 50s. It is perfectly preserved and brings back intact its elegant and imposing appearance, able to arouse in those who visit it security and fear at the same time. It is impossible not to be fascinated in front of the Treasury vault, safes, period safes and secret passages. Also on display is the Collection of coins and banknotes of the Republic, in a path designed for children, young people and anyone who wants to get closer to the economic history of our country by visiting a unique and fascinating place, which has been an active part in this history.
