In Viterbo, in the heart of Tuscia, there is an entire enchanted village with murals dedicated to fairy tale characters: it’s called Sant’Angelo di Roccalvecce.
The hamlet of Sant’Angelo di Roccalvecce has become famous for having been transformed, in the space of a couple of years, into a real Fairytale Land, thanks to the targeted intervention of a team of artists, mostly women. What was once a small village nestled in the woods of Tuscia without any particular attractions has become the favorite destination for families with children, art lovers and curious.
Just a walk through its streets to immerse yourself in a real wonderland and come across the characters most loved by children.
The power of art and colour: the entire village of Sant’Angelo di Roccalvecce, every house, wall or open space is now an open-air art gallery, in which the works of art are murals, often large in size, with a common narrative that finds in fairy tales, epic stories, cartoons and even legends the fil rouge that connects the various stages of the itinerary.
