Iceland | Látrabjarg bird-cliff

Látrabjarg bird-cliff in the Westfjords of Iceland is the largest sea-bird cliff in Europe and one of the westernmost parts of Europe (24°32’´3" west). The Bjargtangar part of Látrabjarg is often called the westernmost point if you skip the mid-Atlantic archipelago of Azores. Látrabjarg is up to 441 meters high and 14 km long.is considered to be one of the most spectacular sea-bird cliffs in the world and the bird life here is amazing. Here are literally millions of sea-birds, with the most sought after (photography wise) being the puffin. But you might also see the razorbill, fulmar, guillemot and many, many other species of sea-birds – 10 all in all – nesting and raising their chicks in the cliffs.
